Just a little comment published as a comment to this notice of The Guardian, one of the newspapers that uncovered the scandal of Swiss-leaks:

The comment: Regulatory authorities and the Treasury insist on keeping calm and normalcy to one of the largest tax fraud scandals in recent history. Beyond the individual responsibilities, which I wish to emphasize in this blog are the systemic implications of a perverse mechanism of fraud, from the thesis that what have been discovering is not a stain of the capitalist system, but one thing the capitalist system promotes, through sophisticated legal regulations and economic engineering that encourage such behaviors of economic crime. It is a further indication, in my opinion, of the double standards of contemporary capitalism, who is based on the logic of the rescue of the huge corporations TBTF (“to big to fail”) and on the exclusion of many, that must support the consequences in order to the value expressed in keeping “the stability of financial markets”; that shows that the capitalist system is evil at its root. If HSBC had not been rescued by international regulatory Bretton Woods institutions and the public money of the single States probably we would have avoided a lot of corruption. Welcome to the Corruption’s Times.
